Gary Price has lived on the west coast of Florida since 1953 growing up in St. Petersburg and living in Tampa and Sanibel.  He has been in Lee County for over 28 years working as Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director and eventually City Manager for the City of Sanibel for a total of 21 years and after early retirement in 1999 became the first City Manager for Bonita Springs.

He has a masters degree in Urban Management from the University of South Florida, College of Business and has worked in local City and County government for 36 years.

During his career, he has been intimately involved in managing all operating local government departments including; police, fire, parks, recreation, building maintenance, fleet maintenance, water and sewer collection and treatment, public works, building, zoning, engineering, emergency management, land acquisition, public building construction, and Code Enforcement.
